The City Government of Brentwood, California recently recognized Amavi Home Health and Hospice Services for its continued contribution to the community. This marks another milestone in the health center’s operations.
A Recognition of Quality Service
Brentwood Mayor Robert “Bob” Taylor was present to give the certificate of recognition to Amavi. The awarding of the certificate took place last July 7, 2020, at the center’s new office in the city. Also present were Amavi’s CEO Reggie Panganiban, as well as the whole team of health workers.
In his awarding speech, Mayor Taylor thanked Amavi for establishing their business in the city. He congratulated the center for their new office and encouraged them to continuously provide quality care services for Brentwood’s residents. Mayor Taylor closed by saying that he looks forward to seeing Amavi grow more in the coming years.
A New Office Blessed
Alongside the awarding of the certificate of recognition, Amavi also celebrated the blessing of its Brentwood office. Rev. Fr. Carl Acosta officiated the ceremony. As there are still ongoing restrictions due to COVID-19, there was little fanfare and it was just a simple ceremony. The guests also observed strict social distancing during the blessing.
Nevertheless, everyone expressed excitement for the development. In his welcome message, Panganiban said that Amavi has always strived to provide the best care for patients and their families. He remarked that the new facility is a fruit of that effort.
Amavi’s new office will serve as the center of its efforts to deliver Start of Care services within 24 hours of initial patient referral. For that, the hospice has a reception room where patients and their caretakers can discuss their specific needs. From there, the center will deploy care specialists and other support staff as requested by the patient.
Providing Quality Health Care
Amavi provides three different kinds of care programs. Its Palliative Care service helps patients with severe conditions like Alzheimer’s or multiple sclerosis manage the symptoms and better move around. The care program can be administered either in the hospital or the location the patients want.
Patients who want to stay at their homes can also choose to sign up for the hospice’s Home Health Care services. Aside from medical and treatment assistance, patients can also request other support services like counseling and personal hygiene care.
Lastly, there is the Hospice Care service for patients with terminal illnesses. This can be customized to suit the patient’s wishes. To complement the medical care component, Amavi also provides spiritual and psychological counseling for patients and their families.
